The bitbox micro offers up to 24 stereo voices when all samples are stored in the internal 64 MB memory, or up to eight stereo streams directly from a microSD card (up to 4 GB per file). The module has eight stereo sample pads per preset, which can be used for single samples, multisamples, clips, slicing or granular sounds. Intuitive control is provided by the 2-inch touchscreen, which enables precise and direct operation.
The sampling functionality includes the option of recording sounds directly in the module or loading them from a microSD card. The automatic creation of multisamples and the clock-based recording length for perfect loops make the bitbox micro a powerful tool for creative sound designs. Re-sampling of the master output is possible without additional cabling, which increases efficiency in the studio and during live performances.
The module offers extensive configuration options for the eight inputs, which can be used as stereo audio inputs, up to eight gate or CV inputs or as clock inputs. The pads can be freely routed to three stereo outputs, which can also be used as six mono outputs. Two integrated effects (delay and reverb) can be used to refine sounds directly in the module.
Parameters can be controlled both via CV and MIDI, and the MIDI Learn function makes integration into existing setups particularly easy. Thanks to DC-coupled inputs and outputs, control voltages can also be recorded and played back, further increasing the module's flexibility.
The bitbox micro is not only ideal for the studio, but also for live performances. The ability to store any number of presets on a microSD card makes switching between different setups quick and easy. Twice the processing power of the first generation bitbox ensures improved performance and seamless operation, even with demanding applications.
