The Adam Hall 4 STAR CATBOX XM3 is a sophisticated multicore adapter that can be used to transmit up to four balanced audio or DMX signals via a single network cable (Cat.6a). Developed for use on stage, in the studio or for permanent installations, this adapter from the 4 STAR SERIES enables space-saving, secure and loss-free signal transmission - without any conventional multicore cable clutter.
With four XLR 3-pin male connectors and a robust RJ-45 connection, the signal can be forwarded via a standard Cat cable or a shielded etherCON® system. Thanks to AES72 scheme 5E wiring, the CATBOX XM3 is fully compatible with all other Adam Hall CATBOX products and many third-party solutions.
The CATBOX XM3 has been specially developed to transport four balanced audio or DMX signals via a single network cable - ideal for the connection between stage and FOH, for submixes, in-ear monitoring or DMX control lines. The reduction to a single cable significantly minimizes transport costs, set-up time and sources of error.
The XLR male outputs are numbered, completely black and equipped with high-quality silver-plated contacts - for maximum conductivity and a reliable connection. The RJ-45 round plug is Cat.6a-compatible and can be used with standard patch cables or professional etherCON® connections.
The four 0.3 m long outlets are made of PVC-sheathed cables with an additional braided jacket, which provides optimum protection against pulling, kinking and other mechanical influences. The OFC (oxygen-free copper) used ensures clean, loss-free transmission - even over long distances.
The robust design and clever cable labeling make the CATBOX XM3 the perfect partner for tough everyday live situations or demanding studio setups. The small size and weight of 288 g make the box particularly handy and easy to transport.
The CATBOX products from Adam Hall are fully compatible with each other and can be used modularly. Whether as a feed (XF3) or playout (XM3) - all CATBOX models follow the AES72 5E wiring standard and use the same channel numbering. This means maximum flexibility when setting up complex systems - without rethinking or reconnecting.
