The CAT6a 70m network cable is specifically designed for environments where the highest signal quality and robust construction are required over long distances—whether in mobile live operations or in permanently installed network infrastructures.
The cable complies with the Cat.6a standard and supports a transmission frequency of up to 500 MHz, making it suitable for Gigabit Ethernet and many other data-intensive applications. The construction with four twisted-pair wires (4 x 2 x 0.22 mm²) ensures uniform signal distribution and minimizes electromagnetic interference.
The S/FTP shielding (Screened Foiled Twisted Pair) consists of a foil shield around each wire pair and a copper braided shield that surrounds the entire cable. This double shielding ensures excellent signal stability—even over distances of 70 meters and in environments with strong electromagnetic interference.
Both ends of the cable are equipped with RJ45 connectors in professional etherCON® housings (Model: Adam Hall K4CCAT6YS). These connectors offer high mechanical stability, are ideal for frequent plugging and unplugging, and protect against cable breakage and connection errors—perfect for touring, stage operations, and demanding installations.
The cable itself is encased in a robust PVC jacket with a diameter of 8 mm, which provides protection against wear, kinking, and external influences. Despite its length, the cable remains flexible enough for easy handling during setup and takedown. The conductor material consists of oxygen-free copper (OFC), which ensures particularly low-loss and stable transmission.
The cable can be used in a wide temperature range from -20 °C to +60 °C and is therefore suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications under a wide variety of conditions.
