Description

The new standalone Akai MPC X features a 10.1-inch full-color multi-touch display and 16 pressure- and touch-sensitive RGB pads. Dedicated menu buttons, a large master encoder knob, and 16 touch-sensitive and assignable 360° potentiometers (Q-Link) with OLED displays round out the user-friendly overall picture - ideal for precisely automating individual parameters and delivering nuanced, expressive recordings.

The X is supported by MPC 2.0.5 the update to the Akai Professional MPC software. MPC 2.0.5 can run on the MPC X in standalone mode or, when the X is connected to a computer, it can be run via PC and Mac. New features in version 2.0.5 include: Audio Track Recording, an improved Time Stretch (Time Warp) algorithm, better Q-Link operation, and an Audio/MIDI Drag & Drop function - all presented on a brand new graphical interface.

The latest MPC 2.10 stand-alone firmware brings 14 new plugins, including brand new AIR Vocal Insert Effects Suite for MPC One, MPC Live II, MPC X and MPC Desktop software.
