Are you looking for a versatile studio and stage microphone that precisely captures every nuance of your recording? The AKG C314 expands one of the most renowned microphone families in the field of audio recording with a professional condenser model that delivers the highest level of detail. Developed by experienced microphone engineers and crafted from high-quality materials, the C314 stands for precision, transparency, and reliability.
Whether in the studio, on stage, or for mobile productions—the AKG C314 delivers accurate reproduction that does justice to your creativity.
The AKG C314 is a large-diaphragm condenser microphone with four switchable polar patterns: cardioid, supercardioid, omnidirectional, and figure-8. This selection allows for flexible adaptation to different recording environments and applications—from vocals and speech to instruments and room miking.
The frequency response of 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz ensures natural and detailed sound reproduction across the entire audible spectrum.
With an equivalent noise level of just 8 dB-A and a signal-to-noise ratio of 86 dB-A, the AKG C314 provides a particularly low-noise recording foundation. Its sensitivity is 20 mV/Pa, ensuring that even the finest sonic details are reliably captured.
A switchable -20 dB pad allows for use at high sound pressure levels. The built-in low-cut filter at 100 Hz with a 12 dB/octave slope reduces unwanted low-frequency noise.
The microphone has an electrical impedance of 200 ohms and a recommended load impedance of 1,000 ohms. The balanced XLR output (3-pin, male) ensures low-noise signal transmission.
Power is supplied via phantom power in the range of 44 to 52 V, with a current draw of 3 mA.
Measuring 160 mm in length, 55 mm in width, and 43 mm in height, and weighing 300 g (microphone only), the AKG C314 is compact and versatile. Its rugged construction meets the highest standards in professional settings.
Careful design planning and a precise manufacturing process result in a microphone that captures sound with the utmost accuracy and reliability.
