The AKG WMS 470 Presenter SET Band 10 consists of a receiver SR 470, pocket transmitter PT470, neckband and clip-on microphone CK99 L. The set is designed for the construction of large multi-channel systems and can be used flexibly. By raising the frequencies above 10 kHz, the CK99 L lavalier microphone delivers a very transparent sound and excellent speech intelligibility. Disturbing background noise is effectively suppressed by the cardioid characteristic and the bass roll-off. The microphone can be easily attached to clothing with the supplied clip-on clip or the optionally available H41/1 pin. The headset microphone is very robust, comfortable to wear and offers optimum speech intelligibility. The continuously adjustable rear headband ensures a comfortable and stable fit. The condenser microphone of the C555 L can be attached to the left or right of the neckband. Structure-borne sound is effectively suppressed by an elastic shock absorber. The diversity receiver SR470 allows the simultaneous operation of up to 16x channels within one frequency band. By combining several frequency bands, absolutely reliable systems with a maximum of 48x lines are possible. Thanks to the automatic frequency setting, in which all free channels are found and displayed in the shortest time, operation is also easy for laymen. A pilot tone transmitted with the transmitter signal prevents background noise by allowing the receiver to transmit the audio signal only when the transmitter is detected. The display of the SR470 shows critical operating states such as low remaining battery life, audio signal peaks or low RF field strength by changing the color. Instruments and all AKG microphones with mini XLR connectors can be connected to the PT470 bodypack transmitter. A transmission power of up to 50 mW ensures perfect sound and transmission quality even over long distances. The long battery life leads to a significant reduction in operating costs. With only one lithium battery the system can be operated for up to 14 hours, with one alkaline battery for approx. 6 hours. The use of a rechargeable NiMh battery allows up to 8 hours of operation. The remaining playing time is displayed on the bodypack transmitter. A battery can be charged directly in the transmitter via built-in charging contacts. Both receiver and transmitter operate in a switching bandwidth of max. 30 MHz (per frequency set) in the UHF frequency range from 500 MHz to 865 MHz. Within this switching bandwidth, the reception frequency can be selected from the pre-programmed frequency groups and subchannels on the receiver or set directly in 25 kHz steps. All settings are transmitted from the receiver to the transmitter via an infrared interface. The WMS470 is compatible with the WMS4500 and WMS450 antenna systems. Thanks to the extensive range of accessories, large multi-channel systems can be set up quickly and easily.
