At the heart of the Allen & Heath QU-5 digital mixing console is a powerful 96kHz FPGA processor, which ensures flawless audio processing and extremely low latency. With a total of 38 inputs (32x mono, 2x stereo, talkback) and 24 outputs (including 12 mix outputs, 4 matrix channels), every audio requirement can be precisely implemented. The combination of XLR/jack combo sockets, stereo TRS inputs and an AES3 digital output offers maximum flexibility for signal routing.
The integrated USB-C audio interface allows multi-channel recording and playback with up to 32 channels - perfect for use in the studio or for live recording. An SD card slot is also available for storing multi-channel recordings (16x16 @ 96kHz, 32x32 @ 48kHz) directly without a computer. The setup is completed by a USB-A port for stereo recording as well as data export and import.
Control is via a high-resolution, 7-inch capacitive touchscreen in conjunction with 17 motorized 100mm faders, which are organized in four configurable levels. The color-coded channel meter LEDs provide visual orientation, while eight freely assignable soft keys and an optional footswitch connection enable individual control options. A separate stereo headphone output is available for monitoring.
The integrated SLink port (128x128) opens up additional options for system expansion via stage boxes or additional Qu consoles thanks to its compatibility with the Everything I/O series - ideal for larger setups or permanent installations.
