The Allen & Heath QU-5D digital mixing console is equipped with a 96kHz-capable FPGA core, which ensures lossless signal processing with extremely low latency. The 36 physical inputs (32 mono / 2 stereo / 1 talkback) can be flexibly mixed and routed. A total of 12 mix busses (6 mono aux / 6 stereo groups), 4 matrix outputs and a stereo main out are available. 16 combination XLR/jack inputs and two additional stereo line inputs (2x TRS each) allow flexible connection of a wide variety of audio sources.
A particular highlight of the QU-5D is the integrated 16x16 Dante interface, which allows the mixing console to be seamlessly integrated into modern, network-based audio systems. Dante ensures latency-free multitrack audio streaming via a standard Ethernet network and makes the mixing console the ideal choice for large setups, broadcast environments or complex installations.
A high-resolution 7" capacitive touchscreen is available for control, which, in combination with 17 motorized 100mm faders and four user-definable fader layers, provides quick access to all functions. The colour-coded meter LEDs and the eight freely assignable SoftKeys increase the overview and customizability. In addition, the USB-A port and SD card slot offer convenient options for audio recording and playback - with up to 32x32 channels via USB-C or 16x16 (at 96kHz) via SD card.
The intelligent SLink port opens up the possibility of expansion with stage boxes and I/O modules from the Everything I/O series. This means that the QU-5D is not only future-proof, but can also be perfectly integrated into existing Allen & Heath systems. The integrated headphone output, talkback connection and controllability via app (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android) round off the professional overall package.
