With the Allen & Heath QU-6 digital mixing console, Allen & Heath presents the next evolutionary stage of its proven QU series. This 38in/24out mixer with 96kHz processing is aimed at professional users in live, studio and fixed installation environments who expect maximum sound quality, ease of use and system integration at the highest level. The QU-6 features a powerful 96kHz FPGA core, 25 motorized faders, DEEP processing functionality and comprehensive expansion and recording options.
The QU-6 combines powerful technology and intuitive operation in the smallest of spaces. Equipped with an advanced user interface, high-quality preamps and versatile inputs and outputs, it offers absolute control over any audio signal. Ideal for sound engineers, event companies, installation companies or houses of worship, this mixer is ready for any situation.
For decades, Allen & Heath has been synonymous with high-quality mixing consoles that are used in the most demanding audio applications worldwide. Whether live touring, studios or permanent installations - the British company combines technological innovation with practical operation. The QU series brings many functions from the flagship dLive system into a more compact, flexible format.
The Allen & Heath QU-6 continues this tradition. As the largest model in the QU family, it not only offers more physical inputs and outputs, but also extended routing, more faders and state-of-the-art assistance functions - developed for professional users who value maximum reliability and an intuitive user interface.
At the heart of the Allen & Heath QU-6 digital mixing console is a 96kHz FPGA core, which ensures high-precision signal processing with minimal latency. The mixer offers 36 input channels (32x mono, 2x stereo, 1x talkback) and 24 outputs (including 12 mixes, 4 matrix outputs, main L/R, AES3 out). The 24 combo inputs (XLR/jack) and two stereo line inputs (2x TRS each) ensure flexible connection options for microphones, instruments and players.
The routing system allows 6 mono and 6 stereo mixes as well as 4 linkable matrix outputs. This configuration offers comprehensive options for individual monitor mixes, group processing and main playout - whether for live concerts, conferences or permanent installations. For maximum expandability, the intelligent 128x128 SLink port allows the QU-6 to be connected to the Everything I/O family of stageboxes and I/O extensions.
The user interface includes a 7" capacitive touchscreen that provides quick access to all parameters. This is complemented by 25 motorized 100mm faders organized in four fully customizable channel strip layers. Eight freely assignable SoftKeys allow individual quick access, e.g. for mutes, scene changes or effect routing. The color-coded channel meter LEDs always provide clear visual feedback.
Several options are available for recording and playback: An integrated 32x32 USB-C audio interface enables professional multi-track recording directly to a computer. Alternatively, up to 16x16 tracks at 96kHz or 32x32 tracks at 48kHz can be saved directly to a card via the SD card slot - ideal for mobile live recordings without additional equipment. In addition, the USB-A port allows the recording and playback of stereo files as well as the transfer of show data.
An AES3 digital output, stereo headphone output, 12V lamp connection, footswitch connection and remote control via free apps for Windows, macOS, iOS and Android make the QU-6 a versatile professional tool for any stage or studio.
Thanks to the DEEP Processing functionality, the Allen & Heath QU-6 brings advanced sound processing tools from the dLive system to the QU platform. This includes powerful compressors, EQs and effects that run directly on the channels - without any external DSPs or plug-ins. The integrated automatic microphone mixer (AMM) supports up to 32 channels simultaneously and is ideal for talk shows, TV productions or conferences with multiple speakers.
Feedback and gain assistants make sound checks much easier by automatically detecting feedback and reducing problematic frequencies. These intelligent helpers save time, increase safety during the event and sustainably improve the sound quality - especially in changing environments with little time for manual adjustments.
The Allen & Heath QU-6 digital mixing console is a professional tool for demanding applications. Its 25 motorized faders, DEEP processing, multitrack recording, Dante-free network connection via SLink and advanced wizards make it the ideal choice for event companies, houses of worship, theaters, festivals, conferences and studios.
Its compatibility with the Everything I/O series, flexible routing structure and robust hardware architecture offer security, versatility and future-proofing in a compact format. The QU-6 is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a compact mixing console with a wide range of functions.
