The Allen & Heath QU-6D is equipped with a 96kHz FPGA core that ensures the highest audio quality with minimal latency. The 36 mixing channels (32x mono/linkbar, 2x stereo, 1x talkback) enable the processing of complex setups with a clear channel structure. The 24 XLR/jack combo inputs and two stereo line inputs (TRS) offer flexible connection versatility. 16 XLR outputs, two TRS outputs and an AES3 stereo digital output enable professional playout in any production environment.
The integrated Dante interface with 16x16 channels (48/96kHz) allows lossless transmission of audio over IP networks - ideal for large event spaces, broadcast systems and networked audio installations. The connection to Dante-capable stage boxes, audio interfaces or recorders is made via a standard Ethernet network, which significantly reduces the need for analog cabling.
The mixing console is operated via a 7" capacitive touchscreen, supplemented by 25 motorized 100mm faders on four freely configurable levels. Eight freely assignable SoftKeys allow individual quick access, while color-coded channel meter LEDs improve the overview. The mixer offers six dedicated multi-FX engines with separate returns and extensive effects for live and studio use.
The QU-6D offers a wide range of options for recording and playback. The integrated USB-C audio interface enables 32x32 multitrack recording - ideal for use with DAWs or as a live recording tool. The SLink port (128x128) offers comprehensive expansion options with the Everything I/O family from Allen & Heath - including digital stage boxes such as AR2412 or AB168. This allows the QU-6D to be seamlessly integrated into existing systems and scaled at any time.
With DEEP Processing, Allen & Heath brings the renowned dLive plug-ins directly to the QU-6D. These include high-quality compressors, channel strips and effects that run directly in the signal path - without any external plug-ins or licenses. The integrated automatic microphone mixer (AMM) for up to 32 channels is a valuable tool for speech events, panels, conferences and broadcast productions, as it optimizes speech intelligibility and avoids feedback - without additional latency or external devices.
In addition, the feedback assistant and gain assistant support the sound engineer during setup: problematic frequencies are automatically detected, gain settings are adjusted and sound checks are significantly accelerated. These features make the QU-6D particularly user-friendly, even for users who come from the analog world or have little time for manual adjustments.
