With the Allen & Heath QU-7 digital mixing console, the British audio specialist presents the flagship of its QU series: a compact 38in/24out mixer with 96kHz technology that sets standards in professional audio processing with its enormous variety of connections, modern assistance functions and intuitive user interface. Thanks to 33 motorized faders, 7-inch touchscreen, integrated DEEP processing tools and comprehensive system expansion options via SLink port, the QU-7 is perfect for large events, studios, houses of worship and permanent installations.
Whether you're an experienced sound engineer or a tech-savvy event planner, the QU-7 offers you a powerful, robust and intuitive solution to help you deliver complex audio projects accurately and efficiently.
Allen & Heath is known worldwide for its high-quality digital mixing consoles, which are characterized by outstanding sound quality, reliability and ease of use. For decades, the British company has focused on technical innovation and developed products that meet the highest demands in live environments as well as in studios and installations. With the QU series, Allen & Heath offers a platform that makes many functions of the dLive system available in a compact form - and with the QU-7 now offers even more inputs and outputs, control and performance.
The Allen & Heath QU-7 digital mixing console features a 96kHz FPGA core that combines extremely fast signal processing with uncompromising sound quality. A total of 36 input channels are available for mixing, consisting of 32 mono inputs (linkable) and 2 stereo inputs. There is also a talkback channel and two stereo line inputs (2x TRS each). With 32 XLR/jack combo input sockets, the QU-7 offers sufficient space for microphones, instruments and playback devices of all kinds.
On the output side, 20 XLR outputs, 2 TRS outputs and an AES3 digital output are available. There are also 12 mix busses (6x mono, 6x stereo), 4 matrix outputs and a stereo main LR. This combination allows for classic FOH mixes as well as complex monitoring setups, fixed installations and broadcast applications.
The QU-7's user interface has been optimized for a fast workflow: 33 motorized 100mm faders on four freely configurable levels provide direct access to all channels. The high-resolution 7-inch capacitive touchscreen ensures fast navigation, while 8 freely assignable soft keys allow flexible control. Each channel has its own display to show name, channel type and slot number - complemented by chromatic channel level LEDs for instant visual feedback.
With the intelligent 128x128 SLink port, the QU-7 is fully expandable and can be combined with all devices in the Allen & Heath Everything I/O series - including digital stageboxes such as AR2412, AB168 or DX168. This expandability makes the QU-7 the ideal center in any scalable audio environment - from mobile setups to fixed multi-room solutions.
The integrated USB-C audio interface supports multi-channel recording and playback with up to 32x32 channels - ideal for studio use or live recording. Stereo files can be recorded, played back or show data transferred via the USB-A port. In addition, the SD card slot enables direct multi-track recording with up to 16x16 tracks at 96kHz or 32x32 tracks at 48kHz - without the need for an external recorder.
The Allen & Heath QU-7 is equipped with innovative assistance tools that make the day-to-day work of engineers easier. The Gain Assistant helps with the optimal setting of the pre-amplification, while the Feedback Assistant automatically recognizes and eliminates critical frequencies - ideal for changing room conditions or little time for sound checks.
With the integrated 32-channel Automatic Microphone Mixer (AMM), the QU-7 is perfect for conferences, talk shows and broadcast applications. The AMM works latency-free and offers clear speech intelligibility without additional DSP systems.
DEEP Processing brings selected compressors, channel strips and sound tools from the dLive series directly to the QU platform - without additional licenses or plug-ins. These tools can be activated directly in each channel and offer maximum control over dynamics and sound - ideal for demanding mixing situations.
The Allen & Heath QU-7 digital mixing console is the ideal choice for professional users who are looking for a compact but extremely powerful digital console with extensive input and output equipment, intuitive control and innovative features. Whether for live events, studio productions, fixed installations or broadcast, the QU-7 offers a perfect balance of sound quality, functional depth and ease of use.
Thanks to the comprehensive system expandability via the SLink port, the multi-channel recording function via USB and SD card as well as modern assistant tools, this mixing console is not only a future-proof investment, but also a professional tool for the highest demands on audio quality and efficiency.
