The AlphaTheta DDJ-GRV6 is a 4-channel DJ controller that is compatible with both rekordbox and Serato DJ Pro.
The DDJ-GRV6 makes it easy to remix drum parts and create remixes on the fly. This is made possible by the new Groove Circuit feature available in rekordbox. It allows you to change the music in a way that is impossible with a conventional DJ controller. Simply press one of the special buttons to swap the drum part of a track with a beat or break from a completely different genre during playback. Additional effects can be added to make the sound even more unique. When used with Serato DJ Pro, the DDJ-GRV6 can also modify and separate stems using the Stems FX function.
With a layout taken from CDJ + DJM setups, the DDJ-GRV6 gives you the feel of standard club equipment. This makes it easier and more familiar to switch to the DJ booth later on, as you immediately feel at home. The controller comes with a Smart Rotary Selector and the Discover function. This allows you to search through and select tracks quickly and intuitively. Since the DDJ-GRV6 can be used together with a PC, Mac or mobile device, you can start DJing with your favorite devices right away.
Groove Circuit: Freely change drum parts and create new remixes
With the Groove Circuit function, you can easily create remixes by pressing the corresponding buttons. The drum parts of a track are replaced by different drum loops - even during playback. This allows you to switch to different genres in no time at all and create unique remixes effortlessly. The DJ can easily create fills, build-ups and breakdowns by adding effects to the drum parts. The free changeability of the drum parts results in innovative and creative live remixes.
Drum Swap
With this feature, the drum parts of the track loaded on the deck are replaced by other drum loops at the touch of a button - even during playback. To try out this function straight out of the box, the DDJ-GRV6 comes with a free downloadable pack of 40 loops in various genres.
Drum Roll/Trans
Ideal for spontaneously creating drum rolls or adding fills to transitions. The function is also very helpful when building tracks by applying the roll or trans effect to drum parts.
Drum release
By applying release FX to drum parts, you can easily create breakdowns.
Capture
This extracts only the drum parts of the track loaded on the deck and records them for later insertion into another track.
Layout based on the latest club-standard DJ equipment
The DDJ-GRV6 features large jog wheels ideal for scratching, eight performance pads positioned above the jog wheels - just like the flagship CDJ-3000 multiplayer - and beat FX from the DJM-A9 in the mixer section. All this provides a feel similar to that of club-standard equipment. The controller enables dynamic performances and perfect club sets by combining expressive scratching with pad and effect techniques.
Smart Rotary Selector and Discover function revolutionize track selection
The new Smart Rotary Selector on the DDJ-GRV6 allows for up/down and left/right tilt as well as traditional twist and press operations when using rekordbox for Mac/Windows ver. 7. Left/right tilt opens up intuitive navigation through the media browser, tree view and track list, while up/down tilt allows for quick navigation through playlists and collections. This means that the desired track can be found quickly, no matter how large the music library may be. Pressing the Discover button gives you immediate access to the "Track suggestions" function. This allows you to rediscover old favorites or discover new songs. The Discover function is only available in rekordbox for Mac/Windows.
Remix performances with Stems FX in Serato DJ Pro
The DDJ-GRV6 is compatible with Serato DJ Pro, which includes a Stems FX function. This allows you to express yourself musically by applying effects such as Roll, Trans, Echo Out and Delay to the individual stems of a track - drums, bass, vocals or melody. An overlay sheet is included with the DDJ-GRV6 to match the Stems FX button labels and make operation even easier.
Compatible with a wide range of devices: DJ with PC, Mac, mobile device and more
The DDJ-GRV6 not only works with rekordbox for Mac/Windows, but also with rekordbox for iOS/Android. The option to play from a mobile device gives you the freedom to DJ in your preferred style and with a variety of different settings. The DDJ-GRV6 does not support Bluetooth🄬 connections. Only channels 1 and 2 are available for playback in rekordbox for iOS/Android.
Intuitive operation and sophisticated design
Although it offers many advanced features, the matte black surface and ergonomic design make the DDJ-GRV6 easy to find your way around. Despite the multitude of functions, the minimalist display and indicators provide intuitive access to the desired functions. The groove circuit, one of the device's most important functions, is positioned above the performance pads, with a 'step up' in between to ensure you don't accidentally touch a jog wheel. This sleek design allows for creative performances that can be as simple or complex as you want them to be.
