The Baton Rouge X81M/P is a stylish parlor acoustic guitar that impresses with its classic woods, compact design and natural sound. With its 630 mm scale length and 46 mm wide neck, it offers excellent playability - for beginners and experienced fingerstyle players alike. Its timeless look in a natural satin finish and the clear, focused sound characteristics make it the ideal companion for sofa sessions, studio work or use on small stages.
The X81M/P comes in the Parlor format, which is traditionally appreciated for its mid-range, warm tone. The solid mahogany body (back & sides) and mahogany or spruce top create a balanced blend of warmth, clarity and projection. Perfect for fingerpicking, blues or acoustic songwriting - with enough volume for smaller ensembles without being overbearing.
The neck is made of mahogany and is combined with an Ovangkol fingerboard, which is both visually and haptically impressive. A total of 19 frets allow for comfortable playing in a compact space. The nut and bridge inlay are made from real bone - for optimum vibration transmission and a clear attack.
The chrome-plated tuners ensure precise tuning stability, while the maple bindings provide a subtle, elegant contrast to the natural mahogany look. The D'Addario strings round off the overall picture with tonal balance and durability.
The open-pore satin finish allows the guitar to breathe and emphasizes the acoustic character of the tonewoods used. At the same time, the surface is pleasant to the touch and gives the instrument an authentic, natural appearance - without any overloaded gloss or artificial layers of varnish.
