Description

The Polar 2 from BLACKSTAR is a two-channel audio interface that has been specially developed for guitarists. The Polar is the only audio interface on the market with a FET input stage and an Enhance function that mimics the behavior and characteristics of the input stage of tube amplifiers. The innovative input stage is never digitally overdriven so that the user can operate the interface like an amplifier. In addition, BLACKSTAR has invested considerable time in developing the Polar's preamps to rival one of the most famous preamps in studio history: the Neve 1081. The Polar 2's innovative features, along with an incredibly low noise floor of 115db, 48V phantom power and headphone outputs that can drive both high and low impedance, make Polar the ideal audio interface for all musicians who record guitar and audio.
