The special Cab Resonance function automatically calibrates the power amplifier to the connected speaker cabinet. At the touch of a button, the power output is adapted to the impedance curve, resonance behavior and acoustic properties of the speaker cabinet - for optimum sound, reactive response and maximum low-frequency performance.

The Katana-500B-HD offers an extremely versatile 4-band EQ, with selectable frequencies for the low-mid and high-mid controls. There is also a bottom control for bass shaping and a hi-cut switch with three positions for controlled highs. In addition, the amplifier offers two amp feel modes (Modern & Vintage) to choose between modern clarity or classic tube character. The basic sound can be further refined with selectable types for Compressor and Drive. The FX section provides access to three bass-specific effects, while the blend control mixes in the direct sound for added presence.
