A favorite of live guitarists for more than three decades, the BOSS ME series combines multi-effects power with intuitive controls that make creating sounds a breeze. The ME-90 is the most advanced ME model to date, offering excellent audio quality with 24-bit AD/DA conversion and 32-bit floating point processing, AIRD amp models, IR import, an effects loop, and more. Quickly and easily create custom sound setups for any playing situation with this compact, battery-powered, all-in-one processor loaded with high-quality BOSS sounds.

Fast sound creation

The ME-90 features a control surface with numerous knobs and a wide selection of effects that let you create setups and sounds just like you would on a pedalboard - without the hassle of tape, power distribution, and countless interconnect cables. Simply select an amp model or effect type within a category and twist the knobs to find your desired sound. Choose from 36 preset patches with ready-to-play sounds, plus 36 user patches to save your own sound creations.

Flexible real-time control

The ME-90 features eight smooth and quiet footswitches and an expression pedal with built-in toe switch. In Memory mode, you can recall complete patch setups via the footswitches, and then activate/deactivate the individual effect categories of a patch separately in Manual mode. The different colors of the LEDs of the individual footswitches allow you to quickly recognize the states even in hectic situations. If required, you can specify that the LEDs light up in a fixed color depending on the mode.

High-quality BOSS effects

The ME-90 offers seven effect categories with a huge variety of effects from the top model GT-1000. You can choose from overdrives and distortion effects, pitch/mod effects, delays and first-class reverb effects. Furthermore, you get eleven pedal FX, a looper as well as specialized effects like an acoustic guitar simulation and downtuning. A total of 60 effect types are available. The selection can be expanded by over 20 effects via the BOSS Tone Studio. For the use of external pedals, the ME-90 offers a send/return loop, including the possibility to store the on/off status in the patch and to place the loop within the signal chain before or after the amp model.

First-class amp sounds with AIRD technology

In addition to effects, the ME-90 features amp models from the GT-1000. The simulations are based on our groundbreaking AIRD technology and deliver an authentic tube sound with a natural response. The eleven integrated amp types range from clean combo sounds to powerful high-gain stacks. You'll find even more variations in the BOSS Tone Studio. Each amp includes a specific speaker sound in case you want to connect the ME-90 directly to a PA or recording device. In addition, three individual speaker impulse responses can be loaded into the unit to customize the sound to your preferences.

Edit, customize, enhance

BOSS Tone Studio for macOS and Windows expands your creative scope, allowing you to edit sounds and swap amp and effect types. You can also save and organize patches for different gigs, download professional setups via BOSS Tone Central, and share patches with the ME-90 community on BOSS Tone Exchange. The ME-90 supports the optional Bluetooth® Audio MIDI Dual Adapter, allowing you to stream music from a mobile device and edit sounds wirelessly via the proprietary BTS Editor app (iOS/Android).

Lightweight, rugged and road-ready

The ME-90 is lighter than its predecessor, yet offers the same ruggedness that characterizes every BOSS instrument. The expression pedal has been completely redesigned for even finer parameter control. The ME-90 can be powered by either four AA batteries or an optional AC adapter. In addition, a switch on the back panel is available to adjust the outputs for use with a guitar amp or a full-range sound system (such as a PA). The USB-C output not only connects you to BOSS Tone Studio, but also lets you use the ME-90 as an audio interface for your favorite music production software.
