The Boss SDE-3 Dual Digital Delay combines vintage digital character and versatile features in a unique and inspiring BOSS compact pedal. Experience the original sound and key features of the Roland SDE-3000, the legendary rack delay of the 80s played by influential guitarists. Equipped with modern features, the SDE-3 fits seamlessly into any creative setup. The powerful offset parameter also provides colorful dual-delay textures.
Multiple output modes: The SDE-3 offers versatile output configurations for stage and studio. Use mono delays for simple setups or play in true stereo. In panning mode, wide sounds create impressive stereo effects. You can also route a dry and an effect signal separately to two amplifiers or mute the effect signal.
Modern workflow: The SDE-3 offers numerous control options. Activate the tap tempo function with a pedal stroke. You can receive MIDI clock signals via the TRS MIDI input. External footswitches provide quick access to tap tempo and looping. An expression pedal allows you to control the delay mix, create pitch effects or generate self-oscillation.
Compact legend: In 1983 Roland launched the SDE-3000, a digital delay with a full, beautiful sound and characteristic modulation. The coveted SDE sound was created by combining precise digital technology with the non-linear behavior of the supporting analog circuitry. The SDE-3 brings this authentic vibe to the BOSS compact format, complete with innovative creative features for all styles of music.
Vintage sound and character: The SDE-3 impresses with warm, musical delay sounds. The clearly laid out user interface contains controls such as delay time, feedback and modulation (rate and depth). New controls expand the sonic possibilities. Experiment with modulation and high-cut to create dense, atmospheric sounds for ambient, chill or lo-fi.
Offset magic: In addition to reproducing the SDE-3000 sound, the SDE-3 offers a powerful offset function that creates extraordinary sounds from two delays. The offset control adds a second delay and allows for a wide range of mono and stereo timbres.
