Chandler Germanium popular series is different circuitry and sound from any amp on the market established concepts. The consistent use of germanium transistors in class-A circuit using high-quality transformer sound quality is achieved, the Chandler products differs significantly from its competitors.
The Germanium series uses +40 V internal operating voltage at high bias currents, delivering up to +34 dB output level to clipping without! The sound is soft and warm, but with a new quality of heat that easily allows that signal to place perfectly in the mix without sounding strained or too flashy. Chandler's modern circuit design, together with the high-class transformers of St Ives and Gardners, found in the germanium series sounded its aesthetic perfection.
The Germanium Tone Control EQ Equalizer uses active and passive elements in conjunction with the Class A Verstäker from the popular pre amp thanks to the drive and feedback adjusters are extremely versatile sound editing features. All filter stages operate with inductors for a rich, warm sound. The passive low-frequency stage uses a switchable "Pultec / Lang" or standard low-frequency characteristics. In the former case one has the ability to simultaneously raise and lower frequency components, resulting in wonderfully wacky frequency curves. Or you can use the standard low-pass function with the traditional frequency curves. To achieve maximum flexibility and treble were equipped with active presence band levels, the sound reanimate the popular British EQ sound of yesterday.
The Germanium Tone Control EQ continues the tradition of the Germanium Pre Amp / DI away and delivers an irresistible sound with maximum flexibility at an attractive price.
