The Chauvet Net-X II is a multifunctional 5-pole DMX splitter and Art-Net/sACN to DMX converter. It supports up to 8 DMX universes and can convert DMX signals to Art-Net or sACN and vice versa. This bidirectional conversion enables simple and efficient integration into existing network environments. With eight 5-pin DMX outputs and two 5-pin DMX inputs that can be individually configured, the Net-X II offers versatile connection options for DMX devices. Each output is optically isolated and can be assigned to one of the two DMX inputs or the Ethernet inputs for flexible control.
The Net-X II supports LTP (Last Takes Precedence) and HTP (Highest Takes Precedence) merging to combine network protocols such as sACN, Art-Net or DMX from two controllers into a single universe. This function makes it possible to merge two DMX or Art-Net controllers into one control network, which is particularly useful for complex lighting designs.
Another outstanding feature of the Net-X II is the ability to record up to 10 DMX presets that can be triggered remotely. This recording function allows lighting technicians to record looks and scenes from a controller and store them directly in the Net-X II's memory. Up to four looks or zones can be triggered simultaneously via the 5-wire Phoenix cold contacts on the rear of the unit, simplifying control over different areas and moods and providing additional flexibility.
The preset configuration library and remote configuration web server allow for convenient management and easy adjustments without the need for physical access to the device. This is particularly useful for larger installations where multiple devices need to be centrally controlled and monitored.
The Chauvet Net-X II supports RDM (Remote Device Management) via Art-Net, allowing devices on the network to be managed remotely.
