Description

MIDI to CV / Trig Converter

Operating mode "V / Oct" as well as "V / Hz", S-Trig gate 5V, 10V gate. Device distinguishes many MIDI commands and controllers. Pitch bend with high resolution and range of 0 to ± 12 semitones, internal LFO with adjustable speed and modulation depth. Octave and semitone transpose, selectable key priority and keyboard range, fine tuning of controlling voltage. System Exclusive communication. Optical indication of state as well as MIDI and CV / trigger activity.

Signal from MIDI bus coming to MIDI IN input is isolated by optocoupler and brought to CPU. CPU picks data for MCV-1, converts these data according to parameters settings and controls the 12-bit DA converter and trigger / gate switch. Final output data are sent to output connector.

MCV-1 works in one direction only - it converts received signals to MIDI commands operating analogue synthesizer. The state of keyboard or controller of any other analogue synthesizer is not checked or Analyzed. Only the System Exclusive messages (informing about MCV-1 operation) are transmitted back to MIDI bus.

It Enables bus to control of EC and VCO Voltage Controlled analogue synths via MIDI.

Optical indication of on-state and MIDI + CV / Trig activity buses by LEDs.
