The Cort B4 Element OPN electric bass guitar is based on an ergonomically shaped mahogany body that not only nestles comfortably against the body, but also impresses with its acoustic properties. Mahogany is known for its warm, full basic tone with a pleasant mid-range accentuation - perfect for the electric bass. The body is complemented by an ash top, which gives the sound additional brilliance and clarity.
The neck consists of five pieces of panga panga and walnut and is bolted, which ensures a balanced mix of stability, sustain and easy maintenance. The roasted maple fingerboard not only offers an elegant, slightly golden finish, but also a particularly high resistance to environmental influences. The fingerboard radius is 400 mm (15.75") - ideal for a comfortable playing feel, even with fast runs and complex bass lines.
With a scale length of 864 mm (34") and 24 frets, the B4 Element meets the standard of modern electric basses and offers sufficient range for creative bass work. The new MetalCraft M4 bridge is a real highlight: thanks to the "Dual String Loading" option, the player can choose whether the strings should be routed through the body or traditionally over the bridge. This provides more flexibility in the sound design and improved vibration transmission thanks to the increased mass of the bridge.
The electric sound is provided by two Bartolini MK-1 humbuckers which, together with the active Bartolini MK-1 preamp, enable an enormous variety of sounds. The 3-band EQ allows precise adjustments to bass, mids and treble, while a mini switch allows you to switch between active and passive operation - ideal for different playing styles and tonal preferences.
The rest of the hardware is also impressive: the Hipshot Ultralight tuners guarantee stable tuning with a low weight. The black hardware stylishly rounds off the natural, open-pored finish. The B4 Element is factory-fitted with D'Addario EXL165 nickel wound strings (.045 - .105) - a classic choice for flexible use from funk to rock.
