The Cort Essence GA4 in Brown Top Semi Gloss is a stylish and powerful-sounding acoustic guitar with a Grand Auditorium cutaway design. With high-quality woods, a well thought-out construction concept and a built-in preamp, it is aimed at ambitious guitarists who want to impress both acoustically and with amplification across the board. The result: a balanced sound, elegant appearance and modern playability in an attractive overall package.
At the heart of the GA4 is the solid Sitka spruce top, which has been treated with a special torrefaction process (Aged-To-Vintage). This not only gives the wood an elegant appearance, but also makes it sound like a well-rehearsed guitar right from the start - with excellent response, balanced dynamics and a rich overtone spectrum. The handcrafted scalloped X-bracing also ensures particularly resonant vibration behavior.
The mahogany body (back & sides) ideally complements the sound of the spruce top with warm mids and focused basses. The glued mahogany neck contributes to excellent vibration transmission, while the rosewood (Dalbergia latifolia) fingerboard and bridge ensure a clear tone and a pleasant playing feel. The nut width of 45 mm offers sufficient space for fingerstyle and chord playing alike.
Thanks to the built-in Fishman Presys VT preamp, the GA4 can be easily amplified - ideal for live performances, band rehearsals or recordings. The slim control element with volume and tone control is discreetly integrated into the side panel and preserves the elegant look of the guitar.
Visually, the guitar impresses with its semi-matt brown top finish with a Heringbone rosette and matching body bindings - stylish and classic at the same time. The vintage-style chrome tuners ensure reliable tuning and round off the overall look perfectly. The GA4 is strung ex works with Elixir® Phosphor Bronze Nanoweb Light (.012-.053) - durable strings with a warm tone and pleasant playing feel.
