This is the stylish Black version of the Cort X250 electric guitar. The body is made of Meranti, which has a very similar tonal character to mahogany. The EMG humbuckers have traditional, open bobbins that strike a good balance between high output and clarity, which are not only predestined for hardrock and metal, but also interesting in other styles like rock, pop and blues. The single coil in the middle position has AlNiCo 5 magnets for the classic Vintage Twang and delivers together with the humbuckers a super flexible pickup assembly for a wide range of sounds. The Cort Double Locking II Trem guarantees perfect tuning stability, even with wild tremolo orgies. No matter if Dive-Bombs, extreme up and down bends or rather subtle tremolo of chords, with the Floyd Rose System the musical ideas can be optimally converted without worrying about detuning. Sometimes less is more, the popular combination of 3-way switch with master volume and tone potentiometer delivers the classic sounds and lets the player concentrate on the essentials. The elegant lines of the reworked X-Series body are both comfortable to handle and visually very appealing. The maple neck is very torsionally stiff and stable and delivers a powerful, clear tone, which works very well with many different fingerboard woods. Jatoba is a very dense and hard wood, which is therefore recommended for use as a fingerboard. Jatoba has an excellent response and emphasizes the upper middle spectrum. The new raindrops inlays give the guitar that certain optical extra.
