Dave Smith Instruments Evolver Product Details

Description

Very compact analog / digital desktop synthesizer with the legendary Prophet VS waveforms Curtis filter chips, step sequencer and arpeggiator, and more.

The Evolver is a monophonic synthesizer with a really phat, warm sound that almost everyone - even much more expensive - can play virtual analogue synth loosely to the wall. Built by one of the great synthesizer pioneer Dave Smith, the founder of Sequential Circuits and co-founder of the MIDI standard in the early 80s. The SCI Prophet models, Pro One, Sixtrak, Drumtraks and Tom are certainly well known by many, this is / was the first synthesizer Dave Smith after all this time. Meanwhile, the three software revisions behind Evolver, the concept of Dave Smith continued to develop.

Equipped with four oscillators and a seasoned sequencer provides the Evolver not only fattest sounds and sequences not only for the recording studio but also for live performance and he is an instrument with real character! Who one vote despite the excessive modulation capabilities is not enough, certainly the right tool in place of the bigger brothers such as The Poly Evolver (rack & keyboard), the four complete Evolver and a few more features are on board. However sound the "pseudo-polyphonic" sequences of Evolvers desktop so that you do not want to believe the Evolver is monophonic.
