Digitech DOD Envelope Filter 440 Product Details

Description

The DOD 440 (2014) makes your guitar talk with vocal-like sounds and cry with slow-filter sweeps that respond to your pick touch. The newly added Up and Down switch lets you choose which part of the sweep you want to emphasize. Guitarists will love the "UP" setting for classic envelope squawking. Bassists will love the "DOWN" setting for big dub sub thunder. The 440 is back and the neighborhood will never be the same. The DOD Envelope Filter 440 (2014) has Level and Range controls. Level controls the sensitivity of the envelope; adjust this knob to adjust the triggering of the filter based on your pick attack. At a higher sensitivity, a lower signal will affect the envelope's effect. In other words, at a higher sensitivity, you don't have to pick as hard to make the effect audible. Range controls the range of movement of the envelope. Counterclockwise, more low frequencies are swept. Clockwise, more high frequencies are swept. The Voice switch lets you choose which part of the filter sweep you want to emphasize. Thanks to True Bypass, your guitar tone remains unaltered even when the new DOD 440 (2014) is turned off. This is a big difference from the original, which would color the tone when off. The modern 9V DC power supply input makes the pedal even more pedalboard friendly.
