Small dimensions, big sound
With the miniature condenser microphone SC4060 from the lavalier microphone series with omnidirectional characteristic DPA does not need to shy away from any comparison. The microphone was developed from the ground up for use with wireless systems in theatre and TV applications as well as for close miking. The capsule is smaller than the eraser on your pencil.
Two different protective covers (grids) are included. By replacing these grids, you have the ability to sonically adjust the microphones according to their positioning on the body. You get a 3 dB boost in the 8-20 kHz range, or a 10 dB boost at 12 kHz. You can also use the grids when recording instruments - so you get two different sounding mics for the price of one.
The Minis also feature another interesting design feature: The MicroDot connector system. A small but sturdy connector allows for secure connection to a wide range of adapters. This useful system multiplies your microphone inventory by allowing you to use one microphone for many different pocket transmitters and even on XLR inputs. Because of their compact dimensions, the miniature microphones have a particularly "true" omnidirectional characteristic and therefore do not need to be aimed directly at the signal source to deliver a high-quality result. They have a neutral character, a round, present sound and a natural transmission behaviour. On stage, the miniature microphones are completely invisible, yet extremely robust and reliable. They are easy to put on; with a choice of white, black or beige cable colours, there is always a way to hide them. They are manufactured to precise quality standards, so they can withstand heat, humidity and sweat as well as wind and pop interference.
