Epiphone J-45 EC Studio Ebony Westerngitarre Product Details

Description

Epiphone J-45 EC Studio Ebony - Classic sound in elegant black

The Epiphone J-45 EC Studio Ebony is a modern interpretation of the legendary J-45 "Workhorse" - an acoustic guitar that has accompanied musicians worldwide for decades. With its classic round shoulder body, solid spruce top, comfortable cutaway and high-quality electronics, it is ideal for the stage, studio and living room. The elegant black finish also gives the guitar a timeless, stylish look.

Epiphone - The affordable sister of Gibson

As a traditional subsidiary brand of Gibson, Epiphone has always stood for high-quality instruments with an iconic design - at an affordable price. The J-45 EC Studio Ebony is one of the most popular models in the Epiphone acoustic line and impresses with its reliable quality, excellent sound and features that don't have to hide even from significantly more expensive models.

Technical details of the Epiphone J-45 EC Studio Ebony

The guitar has the characteristic J-45 round shoulder design with cutaway, which is known for its warm, full sound and excellent playability. The top is made of solid Sitka spruce - a tonewood that is characterized by its clear response and high dynamics. Over time, it develops an even more pronounced resonance and warmth as it is played in. The back and sides are made of layered mahogany and provide additional volume and depth to the sound.

The mahogany neck is shaped with a rounded "C" profile and is therefore comfortable to hold. The glued tapered dovetail neck joint guarantees excellent vibration transmission from the neck to the body. The pau ferro fingerboard has an elegant look and a natural feel. The fingerboard radius is 304.8 mm, which offers a comfortable playing feel for chords and solos alike. With 20 medium jumbo frets and a scale length of 628.7 mm (24.75"), the guitar is suitable for every musical style - from fingerpicking to strumming.

The 43 mm nut width ensures a comfortable string action, while the nut and compensated bridge inlay are made of Graph Tech Ivory U-Rite and Bone respectively - both high-quality materials that stand for precise intonation and brilliant sound transmission. The reverse belly bridge made of Pau Ferro has a classic design and perfectly complements the high-quality hardware. The Epiphone Premium Die Cast tuners with Kidney Bean Metal Buttons guarantee stable tuning and a smooth tuning experience.

High-quality electronics for stage and studio

The sound is picked up by a Fishman Sonicore piezo pickup under the saddle, which authentically captures the natural sound of the guitar. This is controlled via the Fishman Presys II preamp, which is inconspicuously located in the frame. It offers a volume control, a 2-band EQ (bass & treble) and a phase switch for feedback suppression during live performances. The integrated tuner with LED display is a practical feature for live use and makes additional tuners superfluous.

Why the Epiphone J-45 EC Studio Ebony is the perfect choice

The Epiphone J-45 EC Studio Ebony is a reliable all-rounder with professional features and a powerful sound. It is aimed at guitarists who are looking for an acoustic guitar that is convincing both unplugged and amplified. Its classic design, combined with modern electronics and high playing comfort, makes it the ideal choice for the stage, studio or home. And with its elegant Ebony finish, it is also a real eye-catcher.
