M4U eX is a compact yet powerful USB 3.0 MIDI interface with 8 MIDI ports. Each of these 8 ports can be used either as a MIDI input or as a MIDI output, replacing not only classic MIDI interfaces like their predecessors with 4 inputs and 4 outputs, but also other configurations: for example, up to 8 outputs or 8 inputs can be used simultaneously, or 6 outputs and 2 inputs and any other combination. The best thing about it is that the whole thing happens completely automatically by recognizing the signals. M4U eX is not only one of the first MIDI interfaces with USB 3.0 interface, it even offers a USB 3.0 hub with 3 ports for other USB devices such as software dongles or USB keyboards and more. You can thus use the device as a central interface for all MIDI and USB instruments. The Class-Compliant device works via USB even without an additional power supply; an included power supply can be used if required. The Windows 7 / 8.1 / 10 and macOS compatible hardware not only offers perfect timing and the lowest latency in this class on the market, it even works completely standalone without a computer: use it to route signals from input to output, merge MIDI signals or use M4U eX as a MIDI thru box. These modes can be called up by push-button if required.
