The ESP LTD EC-256 Silver Sunburst Teardrop is a real all-rounder among single-cut electric guitars - both visually and in terms of sound. With its elegant silver sunburst finish, classic single-cut design and modern features, it is aimed at ambitious beginners as well as experienced musicians who are looking for a reliable instrument for the stage, studio and rehearsal room.
Equipped with a mahogany body, glued-in neck, two powerful ESP LH-150 humbuckers and a push/pull function for coil-split activation, the EC-256 offers tonal flexibility in a sophisticated overall package. The combination of classic features and modern upgrades makes it a popular choice for rock, blues, metal and everything in between.
ESP LTD has always stood for high-quality workmanship, powerful sounds and modern design - all at an attractive price-performance ratio. The EC series is one of the brand's most popular series and offers classic single-cut style with innovative features. The EC-256 Silver Sunburst is a prime example of this philosophy: traditional appearance, powerful electronics and easy-to-play construction.
Whether as a first high-quality guitar or as a versatile second instrument - the EC-256 offers a lot of sound and style for your money.
The body of the EC-256 is made of mahogany, which is known for its warm, sustain-rich sound. The high-gloss urethane finish in silver sunburst provides a classy, eye-catching look with a classic flair. The single-cut design is not only visually a classic, but also offers a comfortable playing position - both sitting and standing.
The glued-in mahogany neck supports sustain and ensures direct sound transmission between the neck and body. The roasted jatoba fingerboard with 22 extra jumbo frets and flag inlays offers a pleasant playing surface with a classic look and modern feel. The fingerboard radius of 350 mm (14") allows fast runs, clean bends and comfortable chord playing. With a scale length of 24.75" (629 mm), the guitar plays particularly smoothly and is ideal for both lead and rhythm parts.
The nut width of 42 mm offers a familiar playing feel, even for players with a smaller hand span. D'Addario XL110 (.010 - .046) strings are used at the factory - a reliable standard for a wide range of playing styles.
The EC-256 is equipped with two ESP LH-150 humbuckers, which deliver powerful sounds for rock and metal, but are also at home in cleaner genres. The push/pull tone control allows the humbuckers to be split into single coils - ideal for glassy clean sounds and rhythmic funk or indie parts.
The pickups are selected via a 3-way toggle switch, while two volume controls and a tone control (push/pull) provide individual sound shaping. This allows you to quickly adjust the sound - whether aggressive, soft, modern or vintage.
The black hardware underlines the modern, elegant design of the guitar. The LTD Standard tuners ensure reliable tuning stability, while the classic Tune-O-Matic bridge with stop tailpiece stands for optimum intonation and sustain. The vintage-style top hat pot knobs round off the appearance perfectly and at the same time offer a good grip during operation.
The EC-256 is the ideal guitar for anyone looking for a versatile, stylish and powerful electric guitar. Its classic look, combined with modern technology such as coil splitting and comfortable playability, makes it the perfect all-rounder for a wide range of musical styles. Whether in the rehearsal room, on stage or at home - you'll always hit the right note with the EC-256.
With its attractive price and high-quality features, it is one of the best options for players who want a lot of guitar for their money - without compromising on quality or design.
