The EUROLITE Mini Dry Ice 1 floor fogger creates floor fog effects by evaporating dry ice in hot water.

Dry ice is a solid form of carbon dioxide (CO2). It is called dry ice because it can change from solid directly into gaseous form; this is also called sublimation. Since it is very cold, about -87.5 °C, dry ice must always be handled with care, must not come into contact with the skin or be swallowed.

When immersed in hot or boiling water (H2O), it immediately converts to gas and agitates the water. This agitation triggers water vapours, a gas and moisture expansion that presses outwards through the ejection nozzle of the unit. As this reaction produces cold gaseous CO2, the moisture sinks to the ground and the water vapour creates the fog effect.
