British audio company EVO by Audient is expanding its portfolio with a very special product: the new EVO16. The audio interface with up to 24 in/outs features 8 multi-award-winning EVO preamps, state-of-the-art converter technology, and the ingenious Smartgain feature that can adjust input levels on all 8 channels at the touch of a button, delivering on EVO's promise to make recording easy.
With its high-resolution, full-color display integrated into the unit, EVO16 breaks away from the usual concepts. Motion UI controls allow real-time access to all of the unit's key functions without ever having to look at the computer. This allows any user to make any changes on the fly and have full control over the recording session. Using the distinctive green button, the Smartgain function determines the input levels for selected or all channels simultaneously and transfers them directly to the EVO 16 - automatically and very easily at the touch of a button. This makes it easy to avoid unwanted clipping in every recording without having to manually adjust the gain control. The EVO16's numerous optical inputs and outputs offer additional possibilities for expansion, so that everything from drums to a whole band can be recorded easily and smartly. To ensure this, there are both ADAT and SPDIF options to integrate up to 16 additional channels of mic preamps (e.g. ASP800 or ASP880).
