Fender '62 Super Amp Product Details

Description

Fender '62 Super Amp - Tube amp with authentic brown panel sound of the early 60s

The Fender '62 Super Amp is a genuine sound relic from the golden Fender® era. As the first model of the "Brown Panel" generation, this 40-watt tube amp brings back the characteristic, warm vintage sound that lies between the rough tweed tone of the 50s and the crystal-clear black panel sound of the mid-60s. Whether for studio recordings or live use - this amplifier impresses with its versatility, authentic tone colors and the iconic Fender look.

In clean mode, the '62 Super™ sounds round, open and transparent. When it is driven harder, a creamy overdrive with musical dynamics and a brilliant treble image unfolds. Particularly noteworthy is the original Phase Shifting Harmonic Tremolo - a special effect in which the signal is split into two frequency ranges and modulated against each other. The result: a rich, pulsating tremolo sound with a lot of depth and vintage character.

American Vintage Series - authenticity meets craftsmanship

The Fender '62 Super Amp is part of the American Vintage™ series and was manufactured with great attention to detail based on the models of the early 1960s. The cabinet is covered in brown Fender® Nubtex™ vinyl and is stylishly complemented by the antiqued wheat grill covering. The vintage-style footswitch and matching amp cover are included - both with an authentic retro look.

With its compact dimensions(61 cm wide, 45.72 cm high, 26.7 cm deep) and a weight that is due to the robust wooden housing and the tube components, the amp is still portable enough for regular use on stage and in the studio.

Classic tube technology in detail

Two 6L6 power amp tubes, six 12AX7 preamp tubes and a 5AR4 tube rectifier provide the characteristic sound. This classic tube architecture produces the warm, harmonious sound that guitarists love so much about Fender amplifiers from the 1960s. The 40 watts of power are easily sufficient for medium-sized stages or studio applications.

Two 10" Celestion® Custom Design speakers are used, which reproduce the sound directly, articulately and full-bodied at the same time. The total resistance of the amp is 4 ohms, the speaker connections are designed as two parallel 1/4" jack sockets.

Intuitive operation with two channels

The amplifier offers two channels: Normal and Vibrato. Both have independent volume, treble and bass controls. The vibrato channel also has controls for speed, intensity and presence. This configuration allows the sound to be adjusted very sensitively - from a subtle background sound to an expressive solo tone.

The controls are designed in the style of the period: Vintage-style brown radio knobs on a brown front panel provide a suitably retro feel. A total of four inputs are available - two each for the normal and vibrato channels.

A collector's item with sound potential

The Fender '62 Super Amp is not only a tribute to a legendary era in guitar history, but also a practical tool for musicians who value authentic sound. With its combination of classic components, special tremolo effect and high-quality workmanship, this amplifier appeals to both vintage fans and sound aesthetes looking for something special.
