The Fender Acoustasonic Telecaster Mahogany has a top, sides and back made from solid mahogany. The satin polyester finish not only emphasizes the natural grain of the wood, but also ensures a pleasant playing feel. The body in the Modified Telecaster® style is particularly slim and comfortable with a depth of just 44.45 mm - ideal for long periods of playing while sitting or standing.
A real eye-catcher is the WaterFall Sound Port - a stylishly integrated sound hole in the upper part of the body that ensures balanced sound distribution. The floating transverse bracing construction inside increases the resonance of the guitar and ensures an impressively clear, direct response despite the compact body shape.
At the heart of the electronics is the triple pickup system: a Fishman® Under-Saddle Piezo Transducer picks up the string vibrations directly at the bridge, while a Fishman Acoustasonic Enhancer picks up the vibrations of the guitar body and ensures natural resonance. Added to this is a Fender Acoustasonic Noiseless™ magnetic pickup, which delivers electric sounds in the style of a traditional electric guitar - hum-free and powerful.
This pickup combination is controlled via a 5-way circuit and the mod control. This allows you to create up to ten different body and tonewood simulations as well as transitions between acoustic and electric soundscapes. A master volume rounds off the intuitive operation - ideal for spontaneous live adjustments or creative layering in the studio.
