The Fender American Professional II Telecaster has over 60 years of know-how, innovation, inspiration and development. It is the first successful solid body guitar and since its introduction in the early 50s it has been at home in every musical genre and still fulfills the high demands of modern musicians today. This guitar is a hit machine!
For years, the American Professional has been regarded as the reference class and probably the most popular of the US Teles. It has a whole host of contemporary and practical features without diluting the original concept of the Tele. The new V-Mod II Telecaster pickups are tuned to their respective positions, perfectly balanced and can be musically combined with any amplifier or modern processor. The tone pot has a push/push function with which the neck and bridge pickups can be switched to parallel or serial operation. The bridge has three traditional brass tabs, but with offset edges. This ensures octave purity and retains the popular "twang", click and growl. The fingerboard edges, the 22 Narrow Tall frets, on the other hand, are rounded off super smoothly, as is the neck/body transition. This makes fingering in the upper registers even more comfortable. The Tele comes with a one-piece neck, which has a high-gloss fingerboard and matt back. Roasted pine was chosen for the body. This wood is pleasantly light, but sounds very lively and powerful. Fender's special heat treatment further emphasizes this positive characteristic. Incidentally, the finish is called Sienna Sunburst.
