The body of the American Ultra II Telecaster is made of selected alder and is covered with Fender's Gloss Urethane finish. The ergonomically curved Ultra contours and the sculpted neck foot ensure an outstanding playing feel - especially in the high registers.
The neck is made of quartersawn maple with a modern "D" profile and Ultra Satin finish. In combination with the 10"-14" compound radius and the ebony fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets, this results in an extremely comfortable and precise playing range - ideal for complex chord work and fast solos alike.
The guitar is equipped with two Ultra II Noiseless™ Vintage Tele® pickups, which deliver the typical Tele twang - but completely hum-free. Whether it's clean country licks, funky rhythm parts or distorted leads: These pickups cover the entire sound spectrum that you want from a Telecaster.
A special highlight is the S-1™ switch in the volume control: it activates the serial switching of the pickups and thus produces a more powerful, mid-range sound - ideal for fat riffs and more sustain. The traditional 3-way switching allows quick changes between bridge, neck and combo sounds. All electronics are optimized for maximum fidelity.
The string-through-body hardtail bridge with six chrome-plated brass riders ensures excellent tuning stability, sustain and precise intonation. Deluxe locking tuners with short shank posts enable fast, reliable tuning - an advantage that should not be underestimated, especially on tour.
Further professional details: heavy knurled flat-top knobs for a secure grip, Ultra String Guide for optimum string guidance and Locking Strap Buttons for maximum security when playing. The design is visually complemented by a 1-ply anodized aluminium pickguard and colour-coordinated pickup covers in chrome (neck) and black (bridge).
