The Fender California Standard Monterey Sapele Natural acoustic guitar is part of the California Standard series. This series was developed to reinterpret the classic acoustic guitar design and offer modern musicians an instrument with its own unique character. The Mustang® headstock is particularly striking, giving the instrument an unmistakable look. In combination with the Monterey™ body shape, the result is a guitar that stands out visually from traditional models and yet retains the timeless Fender® character.
The orchestra/auditorium body shape is slightly more delicate than a classic dreadnought and therefore provides a pleasant playing feel. The medium-sized body develops a detailed, balanced and full sound. The fully laminated construction with Sapele for the top, back and sides ensures a uniform look and stable construction.
The neck made of okoume in a slim "C" profile is comfortable to hold. With a scale length of 25.5" (648 mm) and a 12" (305 mm) fretboard radius, the guitar offers optimum conditions for comfortable fingering over its entire length. The walnut fingerboard with 20 vintage frets, pearloid dot inlays and white side markers completes the harmonious overall look.
The Fender California Standard Monterey Sapele Natural acoustic guitar is equipped with chrome-plated hardware. Closed die-cast tuners enable precise tuning. The Modern Viking bridge construction with plastic bridge pins ensures reliable string guidance. The instrument is strung ex works with phosphor bronze strings in the .011-.052 set.
