The Fender California Standard Redondo CE Spruce Top Black Pickguard Natural is an instrument from the California Standard series that combines modern Fender® design with traditional acoustic guitar construction. Developed for musicians at every playing level, it impresses with its room-filling sound, robust workmanship and features that support both creative playing and live use. With the characteristic Redondo™ body in dreadnought size, this model delivers a full, assertive tone. The large body shape produces a loud, resonant sound that is suitable for a wide variety of musical styles - from rhythmic chord playing to fine fingerpicking. The cutaway gives you unrestricted access to all 20 frets, even in higher registers. This makes the guitar a reliable tool for creative expression.
The top is made of laminated spruce, while the back and sides are made of laminated Sapele. This combination ensures a balanced sound with a clear response. At the same time, the lamination makes the instrument particularly resistant to climatic influences. The high-gloss finish additionally protects the guitar and gives it a smooth, durable surface appearance.
The black binding and the inlaid dual ring rosette give the guitar subtle visual accents. The classic natural color scheme with black 1-ply pickguard makes the instrument look both modern and timeless - a typical Fender® aesthetic.
The neck is made of okoume and is sealed with a gloss urethane finish. The C-shaped neck profile sits comfortably in the hand and, in combination with the walnut fingerboard, ensures a pleasant playing feel. With a fretboard radius of 12 inches and vintage frets, the Redondo CE is suitable for a wide range of playing styles. The Jazzmaster® headstock gives the guitar a special look within the California series.
The Micarta components on the nut and bridge contribute to tuning stability and precise sound transmission. Together with the die-cast sealed tuners, the model enables reliable tuning and consistently even string tension - a further advantage in everyday use.
Thanks to the built-in Fender electronics with digital tuner, the natural sound of the Redondo CE can be easily amplified or used for recording. The controls are located within easy reach on the frame and include controls for volume and tone as well as a tuner with on/off switch and low battery indicator. The model therefore offers everything you need for immediate use with an amplifier or PA system.
