The long-awaited Eric Johnson Stratocaster was created at Johnson's express wish to give something back to all collectors, musicians and fans who supported him during his career. Johnson personally designed the signature model and equipped it with all the features he himself valued: concisely shaped two-piece alder body with very thin nitrocellulose finish, one-piece radial-cut maple neck in V-profile with 12" fingerboard and polished frets. The vintage-style graduated tuning machines require no string hold-downs, and the custom pickups were wound to Johnson's specifications. Other features include 1957-style parchment pickguard, vintage tremolo with four springs, silver-painted block and period-style cutout with no paint between baseplate and block.
