Description

As frontman and most important songwriter of the punk legends The Clash, Joe Strummer created his own genre. With loud, unconventional up-tempo punk, the band earned a firm place in rock'n'roll history. The music was strongly influenced by Strummer's rebellious personality - which fit well with the explosive political climate of the time.

To make the Joe Strummer Telecaster as close as possible to the vibe of Joe's rocked-out '66 model, we finished the alder body with Road Worn® lacquer finish. It also features a "Mid-60s C" profile maple neck, 7.25" radius rosewood fingerboard, and custom-tuned Joe Strummer Telecaster pickups. Other period-specific details include a vintage-style Telecaster® bridge with 6 string riders, historically correct 3-ply pickguard, vintage-style tuner, and custom neckplate. The hardware was also treated with the Fender Road Worn® finish ands completes the used look.
