It offers genuine Fender tone, authentic feel, musician-friendly features and a pleasant feel with modern materials. An inspiring instrument that will give you new ideas.

The two Yosemite™ single coils are matched and produce a lush, expressive tone. Flat staggered pole pieces ensure high output, while the thin coating allows the coils to "breathe" and minimizes feedback. The neck pickup is coated with shellac, the bridge pickup is protected by a wax bath. Yosemite pickups represent a broad dynamic spectrum and are musically extremely versatile. Fender has equipped the American Performer Telecaster with the Greasebucket™ Tone circuit so that your individual tone is retained in all its nuances, even if you take out the high frequencies. This means that your sound doesn't become stale or bass-heavy when the treble is reduced, but always remains powerful. The modern C-profile neck has a fingerboard with a 9.5" radius; the moderate curvature is suitable for almost any playing technique. 22 jumbo frets facilitate precise fingering and powerful bending.
