Masterful modern craftsmanship and vintage-inspired details come together in the Paramount PD-220E - a delightful combination. The top is made of solid spruce or solid mahogany, and the sides and backs are also solid mahogany. We optimized the PD-220E's resonance and tone with an offset X-bracing. Inside sits a new type of Sonitone Plus pickup developed by Fender and Fishman. It perfectly captures the lush, balanced tone of the PD-220E dreadnought body. The controls are unobtrusively placed in the soundhole without compromising the vintage aesthetic. Inside the top is another pickup, it registers the body vibrations and amplifies them. This signal can be mixed at will with that of the Sonicore Undersaddle pickup. New design details include snowflake-shaped pearloid inlays in the fingerboard, the feather pattern on the purfling and rosette, a stripe on the back, and the pickguard in black or with tiger stripes. Fingerboard and bridge of the PD-220E are made of Ovangkol, the slim tapered neck was crafted from mahogany, saddle and bridge inlay are made of real bone. A sturdy case is included.
