The Player II Mustang embodies timeless Fender charm with its world-famous curves, but under the hood it's ultra-modern. Every detail is designed for smooth playability. The modern C-profile neck with a silky urethane finish at the back has a maple or rosewood slab fingerboard with a 9.5" radius, gently rounded edges and 22 medium jumbo frets. The classic alder body is available either in the popular timeless Fender finishes - or in brand new historic colors that Fender has just retrieved from the archives. Player Series Alnico V Mustang® single coils deliver crystal-clear highs, musical mids and crisp lows. With the 3-way toggle, the bell-like bright character of the neck pickup and the crisp bite of the bridge pickup can be switched to different combinations. The strings run over a hardtail bridge with bent steel string saddles. ClassicGear™ tuners keep the tuning stable.
