He is a songwriter, producer, Grammy winner and founder of the influential American punk band Rancid. Tim Armstrong also runs his own indie label. Despite his versatility, he is very purist when it comes to composing, preferring to play his old acoustic Fender concert guitar. And that's exactly what we've recreated. The Tim Armstrong Hellcat is based on Tim's beloved classical instrument, but has been given modern upgrades to make it suitable for the stage: a solid spruce top, a satin finish on the maple neck and high-quality electronics. The guitar sounds powerful, sweet and clear, plays nice and easy and is suitable for pop, rock, folk and many other styles.
