With the Fender Tone Master FR-12, Fender is launching a powerful, active full-range speaker cabinet that has been specially developed for use with digital modeling and profiling amps. Anyone working with virtual amps such as the Tone Master Pro, Kemper, Helix, Quad Cortex or similar devices will find the FR-12 the perfect sound solution: detailed, powerful and tailored to the tonal requirements of modern guitarists. The combination of 1000 watts of Class-D power, a special 12" speaker and a finely tuned 1" high-frequency driver ensures crystal-clear reproduction and enough headroom for any stage situation.
Fender has been synonymous with legendary amplifiers and unmistakable sound for decades. With the Tone Master series, Fender is now building a bridge to the digital age - and the FR-12 is the perfect monitoring system for this new era. The classically inspired design harmonizes perfectly with traditional Fender amps and makes the FR-12 a real eye-catcher on any stage. But it's not just the looks that are convincing: the FR-12 also delivers top-level performance in terms of sound - precise, dynamic and powerful.
At the heart of the Tone Master FR-12 is a 1000 watt Class D amplifier, which offers plenty of power reserves for every application - whether on stage, in the studio or in the rehearsal room. The active 2-way design with a specially developed 12" loudspeaker for the low frequencies and a 1" high-frequency driver with wide dispersion guarantees a linear, dynamic sound image in the frequency range from 70 Hz to 20 kHz (±3 dB).
An active 3-band EQ with controls for bass, mids and treble is available for individual sound shaping, supplemented by an HF cut control to tame the treble range if required - for example in loud environments or with particularly present amp models. The EQ section only affects the internal speaker and does not affect the balanced XLR line out, which sends an unaltered signal to a mixing console or PA, for example.
The FR-12 cabinet is made of lightweight plywood and features a black textured vinyl cover and a silver Fender-style front grille. The integrated inclined feet enable optimum dispersion on stage, while the molded plastic handle with nickel-plated caps ensures safe transport. Despite its powerful performance, the speaker weighs just 12.5 kg and is therefore easy to carry.
Thanks to its compact design with a height of 46.05 cm, a width of 59.7 cm and a depth of 25.1 cm, the FR-12 can be easily integrated into rehearsal rooms, small stages or even larger setups. Power is supplied via a 230V power supply (100-240 VAC, 50-60 Hz) - globally applicable and robust in operation.
