Description

Manufactured in France in the Focal workshops, the Trio6 is equipped with an 8-inch subwoofer with W cone - a patented innovation. Other features include a 5-inch midrange driver with TMD (Tuned Mass Damper) technology, which reduces distortion by 50% in the 1 kHz to 3 kHz frequency range, and a new beryllium tweeter with IAL (Infinite Acoustic Loading) technology for resonance control. The large bass reflex port significantly limits airflow noise, and the reinforced cabinet provides even more stability and damping, less vibration and therefore less distortion. The Trio6 offers remarkable sound neutrality across the entire sound spectrum. A precise mid-range, powerful bass and an outstanding dynamic range.

The Trio6 features a dual focus mode - either one or two-way - that creates three monitors in one by combining the focus mode of the old SM9 Star monitor with the new full-range focus mode of the ST6 series. This new configuration of speaker drivers is available at the simple flick of a pedal - like having a second pair of studio monitors with reduced frequency response to check how the mix will be represented on a smaller system. Sound engineers can maintain the same sweet spot when mixing, save desk space and simplify cabling and monitor changes.
