At the heart of the Gamechanger Audio PLUS II is the new Spectral Sampling™ Engine. It analyzes the input signal at the spectral level, capturing the timbre, dynamics, overtones, and character of the played sound. The large brass foot pedal utilizes a new optical control system. This system tracks the pedal’s position across its entire range of motion, enabling smooth, expressive sustain behavior rather than a simple on/off function. This allows the Gamechanger Audio PLUS II to replicate the feel of a real piano damper pedal more closely while simultaneously generating expressive volume swells or gentle release curves.
With Auto Layer Catch, you can keep your foot on the pedal and play freely. The Gamechanger Audio PLUS II automatically detects new note events, filters out background noise, processes transitions, and layers new sounds with musical precision. This creates a very natural workflow that allows you to build soundscapes without having to manually capture every note.
The Layer knob lets you set how many active layers the pedal manages. A single layer offers maximum clarity, while 2 to 10 layers allow for more complex harmonies, chord pads, and textures. In Infinite Mode, the Gamechanger Audio PLUS II continuously combines older layers to generate endlessly expanding soundscapes.
The circular LED display shows the active layers and the engine’s status in real time. This makes it easy to see how sustain builds around the played signal, even with more complex sound layering.
The Gamechanger Audio PLUS II isn’t just for guitar. The combined XLR/TS input also allows you to connect vocals, microphones, and acoustic instruments directly. The built-in microphone preamp is designed for dynamic microphones and features analog gain control.
A separate 6.3-mm instrument input bypasses the microphone preamp and functions like a classic instrument input. The Kill-Dry switch allows you to mute the dry signal when using the pedal exclusively for sustain layering.

The Tone control doesn’t simply function as a static EQ; instead, it shapes each layer with an evolving filter envelope. This allows sustained notes to breathe more naturally and sound more like an acoustic instrument.
Additional Catch, Hold, Rise, and Decay functions provide detailed control over how layers are captured, how long they are sustained, and how they fade in or out. This makes the Gamechanger Audio PLUS II suitable for everything from subtle sustain extensions to dense ambient pads and experimental textures.
The Smart Stereo FX Loop offers three routing positions: Pre, Inside, and Post. This allows external effects to be placed before the PLUS Pedal II engine, only within the held layers, or after the master output—all without having to reconnect cables. This opens up a wide range of sonic possibilities with delay, reverb, chorus, flanger, pitch shifters, or distortion.
An external footswitch can be connected as an option. This expands the workflow to include WET, LATCH, and HIDE modes. This allows you to remove the dry signal, keep the pedal permanently active, or temporarily mute the dry signal while the pedal is engaged.
