At the heart of the piano is a high-resolution piano sample of an original Steinway D274 concert grand piano. With over 1 GB of memory, the sound generation delivers authentic dynamics, fine nuances and a detailed playing behavior - precisely matched to the Concert Pianist keyboard with 88-key hammer action. This is weighted in zones and has an Ivory Touch surface that is not only non-slip, but also conveys the feel of a real grand piano.
A completely redesigned control unit with an elegant OLED display and illuminated soft-touch buttons provides intuitive control. Alternatively, the DP-345 can also be conveniently operated via the GEWA Piano Remote app (available for Android and iOS) - ideal for individual configuration, sound selection or practice functions.
The sound library comprises 15 high-resolution sounds and is expanded by the option of splitting and layering up to 3 sounds. The virtual piano builder function can be used to fine-tune string resonances, pedal behavior, hammer head, half pedal, Una Corda and many other parameters - for an individual playing experience just like an acoustic instrument.
Thanks to Bluetooth audio and MIDI, wireless music playback and wireless connection to DAWs or music apps is possible. MIDI and .WAV recordings can be saved directly via USB. Additional creative tools such as an arpeggiator, metronome with rhythm selection and effect blocks with 4 reverb and 8 modulation effects significantly expand the musical potential.
With 256-voice polyphony, the DP-345 is capable of reproducing even complex passages and layers without sound break-off - a must for modern interpretations and advanced playing. In addition, the piano offers a lesson function with a growing song library, ideal for beginners and practice sessions.
The connections include DIN MIDI In/Out, Line In (3.5 mm), Line Out L/R (6.3 mm), two headphone outputs, USB to Host/Device and a connection for a sustain pedal. The traditional housing with acoustic bar, keyboard cover and 3 integrated pedals rounds off the concept both visually and functionally.
