Gibraltar – Quality Trusted by Professionals

For many years, Gibraltar has been a staple in the drumming world. The brand is known for its robust and reliable hardware solutions that make life easier for drummers worldwide. The 9706 snare stand exemplifies this philosophy: stable, durable, and yet flexible to use. This makes it the ideal choice for professional drummers and ambitious beginners alike.

Technical Details of the Gibraltar 9706

The snare stand is heavy and solidly constructed, guaranteeing a secure hold even during intense playing. The double-braced legs with a space-saving parallel profile offer maximum stability combined with a compact design—ideal for tight stages or full drum sets.

The height can be easily adjusted from approx. 33–51 cm and reliably locked in place with a Memory Lock. This ensures the snare always remains exactly in the desired position, even after transport or disassembly. The metal adjustment screw ensures additional durability during daily use.

A special highlight is the "Ultra Adjust" tilt adjustment via a ball joint. This allows for stepless and extremely precise alignment of the snare—a decisive advantage for ergonomic and comfortable playing. The stand is suitable for snares ranging from 10" to 15" and is therefore universally applicable. Even special 14" wood hoop snares are held securely and gently.

Why the Gibraltar 9706 is the right choice

With the Gibraltar 9706 snare stand, drummers can count on maximum stability and flexibility. In particular, the combination of solid construction and versatile adjustment options makes it an indispensable part of any drum set. Whether for dynamic playing, precise rudiments, or powerful backbeats—this stand always keeps the snare securely in place.

The adjustable height, the ball joint for tilt adjustment, and the Memory Lock also make the stand extremely user-friendly. This makes it suitable for both beginners who value comfort and professionals who demand the highest standards from their hardware.
