Features of the G5422G-12 include a laminated maple body with vintage-inspired contours and subtle arching, and an all-new trestle block bracing to reduce distracting feedback. With greater stiffness and better contact between the top and back of the body, the new trestle block design also provides a faster attack with more focus, snap and optimized sustain. Combined with the all-new FT-5E Filter'Tron pickups, this hollow-build's voice evolves into a veritable explosion of huge, full-bodied punch, classic chime and crystalline clarity. The new style Classic "C"-shaped maple neck offers a more comfortable feel for improved playability and performance, and is equipped with a 12" radius laurel fingerboard. Other premium features include versatile, upgraded controls, including a Master Volume with Treble Bleed circuit, a Master Tone, individual pickup volume controls, and a three-position tone switch. Also included are oversized bound f-holes, multi-ply body binding, a smaller bound G6120 headstock from the late '50s, sealed die-cast tuning machines, a Graph Tech NuBone nut, historic mother-of-pearl hump block inlays, a secured Adjusto-Matic™ bridge, and a Gretsch G-Cutout tailpiece.
