Reminiscent of the '60s, the G5422G-12 Electromatic Classic Hollow Body Double-Cut 12-String with Gold Hardware offers classic, rich 12-string tone and jangle with its hollowbody construction and genuine Filter'Tron tuning. Like all Electromatic guitars, it offers the fearless and electrifying authenticity that has always characterized Gretsch as the quintessential rock 'n' roll guitar.

The G5422G-12 features a laminated maple body with vintage-inspired sides and refined arching, as well as an all-new trestle brace that eliminates unwanted feedback. By increasing the stiffness and contact between the top and back of the body, the new trestle block design also results in a faster attack with more focus, snap and sustain. When paired with the all-new FT-5E Filter'Tron pickups, this hollow-build's voice explodes with huge, punchy punch, classic charm and improved clarity, presence and tone definition. The all-new Classic "C"-shaped maple neck offers a more comfortable feel for improved playability and features a 12" radius laurel fingerboard.

Other premium features include versatile, upgraded controls, including a Master Volume with Treble Bleed switch, a Master Tone, individual pickup volume controls, and a three-position tone switch. Also included are oversized bound f-holes, multi-ply body binding, a smaller bound G6120 headstock from the late '50s, sealed die-cast tuning machines, a Graph Tech NuBone nut, historic mother-of-pearl hump block inlays, a secured Adjusto-Matic bridge, and a Gretsch G-Cutout tailpiece.
